Under a garden light’s
Gentle beam,
They cluster softly,
Lost in their dreams.
At day's end
When the cool dusk falls,
Night ducks gather
By the willow walls.
Reeds whisper endearments
To the drifting breeze,
Fireflies dance
Among those willow trees.
One feathered friend
Eith a sleepy quack,
Glides through shadows
Then circles back.
While the night ducks murmur
By their silvery streams,
Cradled in darkness
Woven with dreams.
Ducks at night
In a hush so deep,
Turn the pond
Into a cradle of sleep.

This is so sweet! It took me away from the harsh realities of life for a few special moments today. Thank you, dear one.
